The Hotel

More than 150 years of history ... In 1857, the top-class Hotel Inglaterra was built on the site of the demolished Casa Grande de San Francisco Convent. As Seville’s most prestigious establishment in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it received visits from illustrious people of the time, including King Alfonso XIII, Queen Elizabeth of Belgium and the Prince of Wales.

In 2007, coinciding with our 150th anniversary, the Spanish Government awarded the Hotel Inglaterra the “Spanish Tourist Merit Award" for the second time, in recognition of the hotel’s one hundred and fifty years of history.

Our Location ... The Hotel Inglaterra enjoys a privileged location in Plaza Nueva in the city’s central square, Plaza Nueva, opposite Seville’s Town Hall building. Its excellent location and the pedestrian streets around the hotel make it easy for guests to walk to the city’s main monuments. A few minutes’ walk away are the Cathedral with the Giralda Tower, the Santa Cruz district, famous for its narrow streets, stately homes and beautiful squares, or the shopping area brimming with stores on famous streets like Calle Sierpes and Calle Tetuán, just a few meters from the hotel entrance.

Facilities ... Hotel Inglaterra has 86 comfortable rooms, 51 standard rooms, 26 superior rooms and 9 junior suites, all offering the quality and comfort expected of a top-class hotel, as well as meeting and events rooms, a majestic terrace, a wide range of cuisine, an elegant pub ("The Trinity") and restaurant ("The Gallery").
